ABOUT:    INS
Founded in 1973, the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) is the only organization serving healthcare professionals administering intravenous therapy to patients. INS members are primarily registered/licensed nurses, pharmacists, doctors and students working in a variety of settings including hospitals, home care, hospices, outpatient/ambulatory centers and physician’s offices. Members work in a large number of practice areas including pediatrics, oncology, TPN, transfusion therapy, pharmacology, vascular access, research, education and administration.

As an integral part of a patients care, INS members specialize in administering parenteral fluids, blood & blood components, pharmacological agents, nutritional solutions and pain medications.

Benefits of INS include a subscription to the bi-monthly publication, the Journal of Infusion Nursing, access to the INS National Infusion Nursing Network (a resource that offers perspectives and expertise on difficult practice situations), meetings, national education programs, certification and recertification programs and much more.
