Founded in 1975, the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) is the largest independent pediatric nursing certification organization in the country. PNCB programs are recognized by every employer and state board of nursing in the nation. PNCB fosters the delivery of high quality healthcare to pediatric patients and their families by promoting excellence among nurses.
Certifying more than 90% of all pediatric nurses, PNCB’s list is comprised of all nurses who have taken and passed either the Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN®) exam, the Primary Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC®) exam, or the Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care (CPNP-AC®) exam.
