Founded in 1904, the National Catholic Educational Association is the largest private professional education organization in the world, representing 200,000 Catholic educators serving 7.6 million students in Catholic elementary and secondary schools, in religious education programs, in seminaries and in colleges and universities.
NCEA’s membership is comprised of both educators and institutions involved in elementary schools, early childhood education, secondary schools, religious education, boards and councils, seminary as well as parish catechetical directors and chief administrators of Catholic education. These professionals seek to provide leadership, direction and service to fulfill the evangelizing, catechizing and the teaching mission of the Church.
