Founded in 1930, the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) is comprised of qualified health insurance agents, brokers and consultants engaged in the promotion, sale, and administration of disability income and health insurance. Regarded as America’s benefit specialists, NAHU’s mission is to serve the public by promoting the activities and ethical conduct of insurance professionals through communication, education, and legislative representation.
Working primarily within insurance companies and financial institutions, NAHU members must constantly be updated about numerous topics to properly service their clients. These include employee benefits, sales techniques, insurance marketing, disability and long-term care insurance, financial and risk management, health insurance products, etc. Members pay between $145 to $225 (depending on member’s state) in annual dues with 95% at business address.
