ABOUT: AVMA
Founded in 1863, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) is the oldest and largest association representing veterinarians and its greater than 58,000 members comprises more than 86% of the active graduate veterinarians in the U.S. Members primarily manage or own a private practice (e.g. animal hospital, clinic, etc.) and serve as the authority to recommend, specify and actively purchase the medications, supplies and equipment needed for their practice and clients.
AVMA members are affluent and highly active in their profession. Members pay $250 in annual dues and enjoy a wide range of member benefits including information resources, continuing education, publications, and more.
