ABOUT: CPCU
Founded in 1944, the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society (CPCU Society) serves the needs of insurance professionals who have earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters designation by passing eight national exams on topics including insurance law, accounting, risk management, and ethics. 30% of CPCU Society members are insurance agents/brokers while the other 70% are underwriters, claims professionals, risk managers and loss control & reinsurance managers. Members primarily “sell” property insurance to cover such items as homes, cars, boats, personal property and much more.
Member benefits of the CPCU Society include access to the Members Only area of the Society website, the monthly CPCU eJournal, print and electronic communications such as the CPCU News and the CPCU e-Link, continuing education, networking, and other skill development opportunities, such as leadership training and career development.
